Cats In The Corner
Mark off a large square playing area. Place one player, the ball roller, in the center of the square. Each of the four corners serves as a safe zone where the remaining players, called βcats,β begin the game. When the ball roller calls out βCats In The Corner!β, all the cats must run from one corner to another, trying to reach a different safe zone. They may run in any directionβincluding diagonallyβbut must avoid being hit by the rolling ball. If a cat is hit by the ball, they are out and join the center as an additional ball roller. With larger groups, you can introduce multiple balls and more than one ball roller.
Say And Catch
Choose a category β examples include animals, countries, food or sports. Start tossing a ball back and forth between players. Each time a player catches the ball, they must quickly say something that fits the chosen category. If a player canβt think of something in time or repeats an answer, they are out. The last player remaining wins!
